Petition for F.C. Yee to continue making Avatar novels forever. His character work, dialogue and humor, culture and lore are 100% in line with Avatar world. He just does such a great job.
Loved this book, and I think it’s great to see a MC continue to struggle and not always win. Kyoshis ups and down and her character progression is realistic and shows the impact avatarhood has on a person.
Not as much action as the first book, but instead we have more politics and Kyoshi stumbling while trying to figure out the type of Avatar she wants to be.
Great plot, great characters, new favorite villain.
