Pumpkinheads

I WANT TO LIVE IN THE PATCH!!!
I love this place so, so much - such a fantastic setting (I may or may not have googled 'pumpkin patch theme parks' up on completion...)
The characters were rich and came alive, I loved seeing a chubby main character who was 100% herself and was so valued and loved for it. However....
*Spoilers ahead*
The ending. Wtf, the ending!! The whole way through I was loving the amazing platonic beautiful friendship. I loved Josies realization that fudge girl was not his valuable relationship at the patch, but I just wanted to desperately for our protagonists to have a purely platonic, supportive, healthy relationship. For him to realise that he would miss her friendship above all else would have been such a sweet, fitting ending.
