I first experienced the Raven Boys in audiobook, and liked it but wasn't enthralled. Luckily, knowing the story let me focus this time on the brilliance of Stiefvater's prose and her phenomenal skill with foreshadowing. She is a master at building character, and the whole volume feels like a tightly wound ball of yarn without a single thread out of place
