The Huntress by Kate Quinn
3.0

3 stars - Liked it, but wouldn't re-read.

I read the Alice Network last fall and really liked it (4 stars). Kate Quinn seems to have repeated the format of the Alice Network for the Huntress, just with new characters. The end result is an enjoyable, if slightly predictable read, with some good female character development and a couple good sidekicks. I loved all the sections with Nina and the Night Witches, but like with Charlie's timeline in the Alice Network, I found Jordan's sections comparatively dull and a bit annoying. Ian himself didn't seem to have much personality, but I loved Tony and it was interesting seeing Nina through his eyes. For a WWII murder novel, the prose reads quite light, like a fun murder mystery. The sections with Nina were the only times the writing had any substance.
