Every once in a while, a book will come along that takes your world view, picks it up, shakes it, throws it, turns it inside out, and sets it back down so fundamentally altered that you walk away from the book a much different individual than you were when you first picked it up.

Until honest, unflinching conversations on "race" can begin and be expanded across the nation, the iniquitous history of which we are all a part will go on and on, with no change, with countless generations of bodies to fall.
