I’ve read some of Junji Ito’s other works and enjoyed them so I was excited to receive this arc, however it was a bit disappointing. The premise was interesting and the beginning really intrigued me but the way the story unravelled felt almost unplanned. It definitely wasn’t bad by any means and the art as always was amazing but I just think the story could have used some more work. After finishing it, it felt like there was something missing, I just can’t put my finger on what it was. If you’re a Junji Ito fan I still would recommend checking this out or even if you like weird horror stories. This is very quick to read and I think it explores some interesting ideas in its own very twisted and unique way. It’s not my personal favourite from him but it’s still quick and fairly enjoyable.
