This book is an example of why i shouldnt judge a book by its cover/name. I was expecting something really dark and dreadful and I just haven’t been in the mood for it, but part of my representation challenge (find template in the @shadowbooker Instagram) was to read a book by a Pacific Islander author and this fit the bill and since I own it… why not?
Well I was pleasantly surprised! The story does have some heavy subjects but it feels quite lights and the characters were interesting and adorable and I just wanted to keep reading!!! I loved this book and my only complaint is that some stuff happened too fast and a little more build up could have bumped it to 5⭐️, but please read this book!
