Like other Alien/Monster romances, this one falls into the pit of not enough development and no questioning of the others customs/values. It is obvious that these two characters say things the other isn't fully understanding but they never ask what they mean. If your book relies on purposeful miscommunication, then you may not be a good writer. This book skirts that line and it's frustrating.
