Anthony’s father died at the age of 38 when Anthony was only 18. His father dies of a bee sting. He believes he will not make it pass 38 years old and vows to not fall in love with his wife and that his wife will not fall in love with him so she will not hurt when he dies young. This year Anthony decides he will finally marry and he will marry the diamond of the ball named Edwina. However, Edwina will only marry with her older sisters approval. Kate doesn’t approve of Anthony and thinks he is a horrible rake and rogue. Will Kate ever approve or will there be something between them?
I loved this book. My favorite moments where the storm in the library and Pall Mall. Those made the book. I loved the enemies to lover trope and loved the banter between Anthony and Kate. This book was just adorable and so good. I can’t wait to read more of these books.
