A fascinating, well-written account of one woman's stay in a federal prison. It reminded me of the book Nickled and Dimed, in a good way. It just reinforced for me how broken our mental health care system is, and how we as Americans can spend monies on public programs like schools, libraries, mental health, and addiction treatment programs; or we can pour those same monies into incarceration.
