Wonder Woman (2016-) #20 by Bilquis Evely, Greg Rucka, Romulo Fajardo Jr.
4.0

This story line from about Book #15 got me hooked. The mystery around all the lies and the tricks that have been played on Diana's mind has been unravelling. There were lots of cool elements to this story line: Twin Gods, witches, and crazy cyber-women who shape-shifted into ridiculous and terrifying creations. It was definitely a full-bodied plot, with lots of interesting characters.

These last few instalments really helped to flesh out some of the story lines behind the secondary characters too. The other great element was that the plot is very unpredictable, I just haven't guessed what direction it is going to go in next. I think this is why I was so eager to continue reading because I just had to know more, which is a good thing. I finally managed to put Wonder Woman down on this instalment as I feel like I've had some closure on plot lines. However, I will almost certainly be picking up the next one soon. I just put it down to sleep.

My one major issue with the comics since Book #15 has been the gradual decline in my like of the artwork. Obviously this is a huge element of the comic, and when Diana just looks all soft and childish it doesn't really scream, ass-kicking, awesome superhero woman to me. It appears like different people came on board and they decided to change the art-style slightly. Although, there are still some fantastic collage collections of multi-action, ass-kicking with beautiful details and colours. I am just not quite as sold.

Overall, I think the Rebirth Wonder Woman comic is a great place to start reading superhero comics. There is lots going on, the plot line is quite easy to get into. There are multiple threads being interwoven making the whole thing actually quite sophisticated. It's also fun, exciting and has some pretty awesome artwork (at times).
