Great start to a new series 4.5 stars.

This is a very enjoyable shifter/fated mates/small town romance between a witch and a bear shifter.
Jude has been given a test by The Coven. Should he fail his magic will be stripped from him. He goes to Colorado to stop an unknown creature from killing livestock and it’s there he encounters Mack, the mechanic and only bear shifter in the area.
Jude and Mack are both really likeable characters who have a lot of chemistry - if only they’d stop fighting it and each other! They pair up to fight the evil creature and eventually (read slow burn) give in to their feelings.
There is a tiny bit of angst, not a lot of steamy scenes and a hard fought HEA.
This is a very enjoyable, easy read with an interesting/original take on the type of evil creature.
