An attorney, elected mayor, and a surgeon walk into a bar… LOL jk. But seriously, this book was a captivating thriller with all the expensive players. Anne is “the heart girl” the face of the hospital she is a surgeon at. Her husband is running for mayor who’s involved with the new state attorney, Paula. At first it appears as though Paula’s vendetta against Anne is pure jealousy and the ambition to advance her career but 90% into the book and the biggest twist turns this whole book upside down! I hope there’s a book two!
