That's my feeling about this book. I think as a whole this was better than The Gilded Wolves, but I had some issues with the characterization and puzzles. Severin spent most of the book being a sad sack and it was just annoying. However it heavily featured my queen Zofia, so most is forgiven. The characterization of the crew was explored further here and it led to deeper moments that I loved. This book was addictive and chilling and I cannot WAIT for The Bronzed Beasts.
