This is book 2 in the series and although it can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading them in order. I adore Beth Adams and this series is such a great read. I really enjoy getting to read the forensic pathology side as well as the police procedural side.

I was hooked from the beginning and it kept me engaged until the very last page. I’ve only recently discovered Helen Phifer but I love her writing style. It’s an easy read without compromising on the plot or characters. There are so many loveable characters that add to the storyline and I look forward to reading more of Beth Adams story.
