While I was not as enamored with Strayed's writing as I was when I read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, I am glad that I read it. I was definitely frustrated at some of the choices Strayed made (drugs, lack of preparation, risky behaviors). As I read the book I came to understand the raw emotion and pain behind those decisions. Very glad I finished it, and I am proud of Cheryl for making that journey and coming out the other side stronger.
