Gorgeously written, though in brief sections leapt far beyond my personal threshold for graphic detail.

Vuong is undeniably a beautiful, emotive writer, it’s so much emotion in every word that by the end of it I felt squeezed dry and drained completely, flattened and spent and incapacitated.
