Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

I am a little proud of myself that I finished this book, since I'm not the one for classics, and I think reading it via "Dracula Daily" helped me finish it - the added fun element of recieving the parts of the story on the day they were happening and the way this method broke the book down into manageable pieces instead of one big chunk of a book was good for for me.
I understand why Dracula is a classic. It has a great atmosphere and memorable characters, as well as a compelling story. The amount of miscommunication and keeping people in the dark and waiting until the very last second to do anything about the ominous things that were happening was a lot though.

To people who are like me and tend to struggle with classics: Even though English isn't my first language, the language in this book was very manageable for me. Though I must say that old language adds a level of difficulty for me when it comes to being immersed in a story. This happened here as well, I never really developed strong feelings towards the story and its characters ... Until the end. When I read the epilogue today, it really got to me for some reason.
