Absolutely loved this one, following interconnected people mainly focused on a group of octopi who a scientists are trying to work out if they can communicate, and also if it's possible for humans to speak with them.
Its like a book about aliens but who are from the deep.
There is also a lot of commentary about how humans are bleeding the earth dry.
I thought it was an interesting look at a not totally dystopian future. Things are definitely sideways.
