alyshadeshae 's review for:
Pride and Prejudice
by Jane Austen
Finally read this one. Or rather, finally got through it.
After reading several retellings set in more modern times (most recently and delightfully: "Debating Darcy"), I was finally able to get through the original by way of audiobook.
I see why so many people enjoy this classic and why I enjoy the retellings so much - the original story is great. But I can't get past the way it's written. I won't be reading this one again, but I'll continue to enjoy the retellings and maybe I'll try the movie again.
