Nuts
by Alice Clayton
ARC received for an honest review
Oh, it seems like it has been forever since I had an Alice Clayton book in my hands.
I freaking LOVED Wallbanger, and while I loved the rest of the Cocktail series, it just missed that little something.
But never fear, Ms Clayton is back to her Wallbanger best with Nuts. Seriously, a book full of nuts and cucumber double entendres is always going to be a winner with me - yep, that's right, I have the mind of a 12 year old boy!
I loved this from the first word to the last. Roxie is just too adorable for words. So good at her chosen career, but such a bumbling mess when it comes to one sexy farmer
Seriously though - from the first minute we meet him, all I could think was "humina humina"... and then I thought, "hang on, I live in a farming town, where are all the Leo's???"
Maybe I need to go on Farmer Wants A Wife and find him!!
I couldn't help but smile and laugh out loud with some of the situations Roxie and Leo found themselves in. But as we know, the path to love is never a smooth one, and there was a twist in the tale that completely blind sided me!
There are some great secondary character - Roxie's best friend, her high school crush (oh man did I love The Chad!) and her flighty, yes sometimes quite profound mother.
There is also a bit of set up for the second book in the series, Cream. Oooh, and we also get a little bit of Grace and Jack from the Redhead Series (which now, after reading Nuts, I have to go back and reread!!)
I can't wait for the next book and some more zany antics!
