be warned, this book does not go light on the depiction of genocide and its aftermath, for being a ya book (particularly towards the end). it’s an amazing fantasy book that has an awesome depiction of change/revolution and gave me chills at several portions of the ending, but it doesn’t go light. one of my favorite fantasy books i’ve ever read
