Mr. Wrong Number
by Lynn Painter
’His teeth dragged over my earlobe and I felt it everywhere. “Why the hell am I kissing the biggest pain in the ass I know?”
I dug my fingernails into his skin as his mouth did wicked things. “Because I’m irresistible, you cocky dipshit.”’
This was such a fun read. Mr. Wrong Number has some of my favorite tropes ever: brothers best friend and frenemies to lovers. To add onto that, this also incorporates anonymous texting, which usually isn’t my thing—but I loved it in here.
I think my favorite thing about this story was the characters banter. They had so much chemistry, and fun back-and-forth, and this read exactly like a romcom that I was looking for. The characters could be a bit insufferable at times, but I think their relationship makes up for it overall.
Really enjoyed this one, and listened to it on audio as well which I definitely recommend. I’m really excited to read more from Lynn Painter, and hopefully get into her YA stuff as well.
