What a fabulous story by TJR!

Taking place in Malibu in 1983- Nina is getting ready for the party that the Riva's throw once a year. Anybody who is anybody shows up and this will be the party to remember.

We also get flashbacks to Nina and her siblings- Jay, Hud, and Kit. Their dad is famous rocker Mick Riva's who is never there. June their mother was his first wife.

I felt so bad for the kids. Their dad leaves, their mom tried to hold it together but sinks into depression and alcoholism so fast. Nina is a really great person/daughter. She kept the family together when no one else could or cared to.

I'm so glad I got to read an early copy of this book. It was amazingly well done.
