This is a lovely story and amazingly presents problems that can arise and follow you from the adoption system. It has nice subtle representation of a gay dad (I had hoped for more than in this book, but it also makes me happy to see subtle representation in any shape or form) and the way the protagonist meets the love interest is really beautiful, unique and thought provoking. I have to admit, after reading this I tried a few of the social experiments myself and it was really something. I think this shows the good side of our human nature, and with so many books focusing on the worst right now, it's refreshing and an easy flowing read. The friendships in here are raw and character development well done. The ending left me a bit heartbroken, but also the feeling of hope.
