Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
4.0

I got an ARC of this from NetGalley, and I am wondering if some of my confusion is due to the formatting. Though each character's point of view is labeled, I still had a hard time being plunged into the world. Maybe if I had looked at a map first to orient myself that would help. I am always astonished by the atrocities men will do. I also wonder why this, the worst maritime loss, is not as well known as the Titanic or the Luisitana. Is it due to being German? Anyway, Septys has crafted another excellent story that will show you the atrocities of war that happen on both sides and make you want to learn more about this particular part of WW2 history.
