This book really dragged. This is the third series by this author I’m reading and while I usually enjoy the books, any time there is a race plot line it’s so cringey. And in a lot of ways this felt like a repetition of the first time with Caitlyn’s sister Cairren. I wasn’t particularly drawn to or invested in Caitlyn or Alex which is a shame because a childhood friends to lovers story could have been so fun!
Moderate: Racism
There is a lot dealing with PTSD in this book as well.
