Where do I start?! First I’ll say I feel like I’m pretty good at not giving away spoilers, but If I do this time…have mercy lol——Also Please read this book with caution, it explores attempted assault, abuse depiction, loss, substance abuse, attempted suicide, mention of cancer.

This was my first V.E. Schy book and there’s no way I won’t be reading another. This book was so well written, and draws you in from the first line.

What happens when you are so unhappy with a situation in your life, that you are willing to sell your soul to the devil? Or the darkness himself?

Addie is a young woman in a desperate situation & wants out badly. She makes a snap decision that changes her entire life forever! To be free is one thing. To be forgotten is another.

This story takes us on a wild ride of many adventures, that play out across history. What happens when someone who is forgotten, is suddenly remembered? We find ourselves being curious of this stranger & also full of hope…but what happens when the stranger has a secret as well?...I definitely cried at the end. It was such a beautiful ending to what some of us already knew might happen. I felt very emotional over these characters & the choices they made. This book was as heartbreaking as it was a love story for all.

Writing this review has me feeling like an author trying to draw you in lol…is it working? Some favorites from the book:

•Blink and half your life is gone
I do not want to die as I’ve lived
Born and buried in the same ten-meter plot
•”I don’t know what they want from me. I don’t know who they want me to be. They tell you to be yourself, but they really don’t mean it, and I’m just tired... I’m tired of falling short. Tired of being…It’s not that I’m alone. I don’t mind alone. But this—it hurts.”

I recommend especially if you like historical fiction & great story telling.
