📖 My Thoughts
Love that Charlotte is prone to mishaps because I'm too. I'll be the one to get a shirt stain on the last bite. As such, she ends up stuck in the same cabin as her ex, during a snowstorm. Not just her ex, her “left me at the altar five years ago” ex. Sweet story of second chances. The character development of growing up is well thought out, this author cares for her characters and their feelings.
They were childhood friends who became lovers and had a fall out as they wanted different things, they just had to find themselves separately before getting back together.
I thought the author closed the book with a very believable ending.

⚠️ Triggers
Claustrophobia (tiny, can be skipped)
Alcohol

LGBTQ+ representation
All the younger characters are non-binary. While central to the story, the conversation felt natural and not the core of the book. It's just a story of what ifs, where the characters happen to be non-binary.

🌶️ Spice
Very natural with the story, not gratuitous.
There are timeline memories with spice that move the story along. The current spice is part of coming to the realization that there are still sparks there, they just had to grow up independently from each other.

📝 Special Notes
Super cute cover with musical instrument on cover.
