I didn’t expect it, but this was also a collection of short stories, just like The Last Wish.
It reads very fluently, but those timelines.... You absolutely have no idea when which story happens. Only the stories that involve Ciri, because they mention her age, and they aren’t in chronological order, so you only understand it in the end. Very confusing.
Also a map would be very helpful. I don’t know if there are versions that have one, but mine hasn’t.
