True Luna: The Unknown Magic
by Tessa Lilly
I was excited to continue the True Luna series with 'The Unknown Magic' by Tessa Lilly, but unfortunately, this installment didn't quite live up to my expectations.
While I appreciated the introduction of new characters and plot twists, I felt like the story was starting to feel a bit formulaic. The writing was still solid, but the pacing felt slower than the previous two books.
My main issue was that the characters didn't feel like they were growing or developing as much as I had hoped. The protagonist, in particular, felt like she was making the same mistakes over and over again, without learning from them.
Despite these issues, I still enjoyed the world-building and the exploration of the magical system. The unknown magic aspect was intriguing, and I appreciated the way Lilly wove it into the story.
Overall, 'The Unknown Magic' was an okay read, but it didn't blow me away like I had hoped. I'm still invested in the series and want to see where it goes from here, but I hope the next installment will bring more character development and plot progression.
