It's taken me a while to read this, maybe because of my exams but maybe it might be because I didn't really enjoy it all that much. Don't get me wrong it's a good plot, good characters and a nice setting but it just didnt do it for me.

The ending was essentially pointless - Benedictus didn't achieve anything, he didnt kill Dies Irae and he didnt reclaim the throne. In my opinion it would've been good if he accomplished a bit more since it was going to and throw a lot with Kyrie with pointless acts.

It was an okay book, I don't think I'll be reading more of his work but it wasn't bad
