Matched
by Ally Condie
I read the first three chapters of this book when it first came out and the prose was so bland I put it down and never finished. But since writing a paper on female heroines in YA dystopia, I wanted to give a chance to some others. Frankly, after the horrible and disappointing world building of Crewel, I think Matched seemed better in comparison just because it was better paced and things were actually explained. Nevertheless, the prose was still really boring. I'll probably finish the trilogy in hopes they become more inspired.
