» PLOT «
Former friends, now enemies, Zorie and Lennon have been avoiding each other, but when a camping trip goes wrong, they are forced to confront each other once and for all. Stranded in the wilderness together, old wounds are reopened and they must decide whether their relationship is worth rekindling.
A friends-to-lovers-to-enemies-to lovers trope, but they aren't really enemies. Especially from Lennon's side when it's revealed thathe's been carrying a torch for Zorie since their "fight" in the Fall.
One of the story lines in this book is the fact thatZorie's father is cheating on her mother . I would say it was odd that all of a sudden people are coming out of the woodworks to mention to Zorie about her father, but after awhile, I just realized that Zorie is not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. More on this in the "Characters" section

I started reading this at 12AM and I finished it at 4AM. So all I'll say is this was pretty easy to get through and read.
» CHARACTERS «
The main character (Zorie) is not very sharp at all. Like how did she not realize thather crush and her "best friend" were together ? Or, why did she take so long to figure out that the reason Lennon ditched was because of his father's death? Like he was literally telling her it was around the same time, but she never pieced it together until a while later . Honestly, both of these situations were SO OBVIOUS. Not to mention the fact that RIGHT AFTER being ditched by Lennon, she moves on with another boy. LIKE THIS DUDE WAS YOUR BEST FRIEND FOR A LONG TIME AND INSTEAD OF TALKING TO HIM, YOU DECIDED TO IGNORE HIM AND MOVE ON THE NEXT DAY?!
The other main character (Lennon) is far better than Zorie. While he does have his flaws, they are a lot more reasonable and understandable.
» WRITING «
Jenn Bennett's writing is pretty easy to read.
» OVERALL «
Random thing, but at least they had safe sex, but come on... who brings condoms on a hiking trip where you aren't with a partner? It's kind of weird that Lennon had a tiny assumption that he would need it.
