Oof, this was a heavy one. Glad to have read it since it’s definitely relevant to current events and the culture we live in. It deals with some hard themes and content (racism, rape, a really bizarre/disturbing stepdad/stepdaughter sexual attraction, death, injustice, purity culture, privilege, suicide)... which probably doesn’t make it seem like a great read, but it really was a powerful story and unsettling in a way I think is necessary to shake and wake us up to the world we live in so we can be more aware and take better action. But also it could definitely be triggering, so take caution.)
