House of Sky and Breath
by Sarah J. Maas
Ok.
I spoke too soon.
Maybe because I read the book instead of listening to an audiobook, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first one. I found Bryce to be insufferable at times and I can’t begin to understand how there was no mention of Hypaxia until basically the end of the book, especially after what she did for Hunt in the last one.
I also am beyond annoyed that after all that plot apace for Sofie and Emile, we were left with the bare minimum for both of those characters.
I take it back. Throne of Glass remains her best work with the best characters.
I hope the final book delivers.
