While I absolutely LOVED A Discovery of Witches, this one was soooo slow. It was a solid 3 stars until about the 70% point. It REALLY took off at that point and I was completely invested in every little thing!
There were so many new characters and world building that it was hard to stay in the moment. I ended up pausing it last year, but I'm either finishing or DNFing all of those books this year so I picked it back up. Around halfway through we finally start getting fresh info and reveals, then around 70% we get back to the action!
I will say, this is one of those where you have to endure the slow parts and jam packed info pages to really appreciate what happens towards the end and the ending. I'm ready for the conclusion and crossing my fingers Book of Life's pace is more like ADOW😅
