This is domestic, slice of life fiction, centered on how a woman can feel trapped in her own home after becoming a mother. I was looking for something different, which is why I give it 3 stars, but I’m all for these types of books being published, since they give voice to what so many women feel during matrescence. Let’s please add to the narrative, that there’s more ways to be a woman and mother than just a “happy housewife.”
