I read the first Train to Impossible Places book a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Book 2 is every bit as good, perhaps better. It's fun, imaginative and fast paced, with characters you can't help but love and a writing style that feels incredibly visual.
As with book 1,the illustrations by Flavia Sorrentino are a joy, and the hidden cover underneath the dustjacket is truly lovely.
Overall a fun, whimsical adventure story that kids will adore, and some of us adults too.
