I originally read this book in Jr. High and remember it being so taboo. My friends and I secretly passed it around to each other and hoped our parents wouldn’t find out. I decided to reread it this year for this Popsugar reading challenge, and although it didn’t have the same impact 30 years later, I do think it was a good thing I read it when I originally did.
