Room 553
by Britney King
A very dark, delicious story of master deception!
Max and Laurel... Wow! The more I got to know their backgrounds, I can see why they would become a danger to each other in their affair. Laurel has a couple of very traumatic things happen to her as a little girl and it makes her into a pretty scary and calculating adult. Max is dealing with some heavy issues in his marriage and it turns out he doesn't even know the half of it for a time.
James, Laurel's husband, was just an extremely psychotic man and creeped me out.
Needless to say, I'm a Britney fan. Her books are just so good!
