A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson

An interesting read
I loved that Constanta refused to name her Sire throughout the entire book which was an interesting and refreshing take to an abusive relationship
**Spoilers ahead**
My one slight annoyance is that this book essentially re-writes the ending of Dracula as none of the characters in this die at the hands of the Harkers and their friends
I liked that Constanta is the one to stake Dracula with Magdalena and Alexi holding him down but I found my enjoyment limited because I knew that everything past the, very brief, mention of the Harkers was no longer within the boundaries of Bram Stoker's work
This is my love for Dracula hindering my suspension of disbelief and therefore getting in the way of my enjoyment of a well written and enjoyable book
Thank you S. T. Gibson for a completely different take on these characters and I adored the dynamic and love that Constanta, Magdalena and Alexi had between them
