I don't know what I was expecting from this but I adored it so much.

Usually books that are heavily based in religion, of any kind, tend to wear on me. However this is done in such an interesting way that it draws the reader in and holds their attention. The contrasts between the characters as well as the representation of different races, genders and sexualities is to be applauded.
