Mother Hater
by Daphne Elliot
This is probably my favorite of this series! I was so excited for Delia's story because I wanted to know what made her put all those walls up and have such a hard exterior. It was clear from book one that it would take an extraordinary man to win her over, and that's exactly what Enzo did! I loved the way he never wavered when it came to Delia and saw her for her all of her beauty (inside and out) and knew she was special and wasn't intimidated by her. It made sense why she had sworn off men but Enzo was patient and loved her in all the right ways. Enzo was so good with the twins too! I loved that he was a super smart math nerd and helped to win her girls over this way. Enzo was so emotionally mature and that was so refreshing to see, when a lot of authors write their characters of this age as so childish and immature. Underneath Delia's tough exterior, she had such a big heart and was just trying to do the right thing for her children and her friends and their families. She was under so much pressure and it was interesting to see her reveal her true feelings and struggle with being a mother and juggling it all. She isn't perfect like everyone thought, and I loved that about her. I'm so sad this series is over because it's so good and has such an interesting premise but I have enjoyed every single book in this very special series.
