proseamongstthorns 's review for:
Time's Arrow
by Martin Amis
I really loved this novel. The innocent and naive narrators retelling of the horrors of the holocaust reveals the importance of a human soul.
Amis challenges conceptions of time and encourages the reader to approach the Holocaust in an entirely different way. The stop-start narrative voice (which is mostly due to time moving backwards, though the narrator does not think this is odd) forces a reader to slow down, to re-read passages and to try appreciate the simple genius in this novel.
A must read for sure!
