It just lacked soooo much. For a YA romcom it was a lot cringier/cheesier than normal and the characters felt forced. Idk maybe it's been a minute since I was teenager so I'm not connecting with recent youths but this felt like teenagers written by adults for sure. The romance was just so incredibly forgettable and the story didn't grab me.
