I have to start by saying that as a child I was raised by my Grandparents, and my Grandpa had a deep love for westerns and comedies. I have watched countless western movies with him, and eventually developed a taste for them. This was the first western themed book I have ever read and it was pretty great. Putting all the sex aside, and believe me this book was chalk full of sex, it was a pleasently surprise how comfortably I slipped back into the world of gunslinging ruffians. It was something I didn't even realize that I had missed until I started reading this book.

I loved the whole idea of the Hell's Eight. This band of brothers that stuck together throughout the years and established their own community together. I only wish we would have got to know them all better. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they each had a book describing them more in detail individually. Kind of like a Lords of The Underworld type of thing. I would definitely be on board for learning more about these dangerous men.

Caine and Desi's story was one of hardship. But being that it's the "Wild West" I wouldn't expect anything else. It was hard to read some of the things that poor Desi had endured, but it did make it that much sweeter to see all that she had gained. I really liked how Caine had a special place in his heart for, I don't want to say it was taming wild horses, more like harnessing that wildness. And I loved how much that played into how he handled his wild wife.

I don't know what the problem was but I had an ebook library loan of this book and there was a TON of errors in it. Usually things like that really don't bother me, but this one was so bad. Words were broken up and it constantly had me rereading things just to make sense of it. It was quite annoying. This was still an enjoyable read though, and I definitely see myself reading more about these mysterious men in the future.
