Very enjoyable. I think Ms. Wilson's writing has improved since [b:Alif the Unseen|13239822|Alif the Unseen|G. Willow Wilson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1325543155s/13239822.jpg|18330291]. We've a generally tighter story. I really enjoyed the feel of the beginning: the palace intrigue, the mystery around Hassan, the danger posed by the invaders. As with Alif, the end gets a increasingly abstract, although I thought she kept a tighter rein this time.
Once again, the supporting characters (in this case Hassan and) were more interesting to me than the main character.
