If I hear the magic words I come running. And in this case the two words are “urban fantasy” because I’m most definitely a sucker for it. I really enjoyed the nostalgia these two gave me for early 2000s fantasy vibes or at least that’s what I was picking up. I enjoyed the main characters and thought they were very easy to connect and root for. I loved seeing them come into their powers and set out on adventure. Not to mention the gorgeous styled murder mystery and our slow burn romance!

It eventually leads to a big theme being; do they tell the truth? About their powers? What are the consequences of that? Which is nice to be included considering the ages of the MCs. I really loved the family aspect from the second book and how everything from the first was coming to a head. Plus his grandma cracks me up I thought she was great. There’s new problems, new adventures, and many more to come with book three! This is definitely a must read. Keep in mind this series is YA so far!
