Considering most of this series has felt very meh to me, I was surprised I liked this one so much. I have gotten to love Cora a little more, I thought it was interesting to get to see a school that was the complete opposite of Eleanor West's. Cora hearing whispers from her door gave me shivers, Whitethorn had no right to be that creepy, and ultimately, I loved the storyline much more.
